It’s not unusual to see a successful NBA star with a high-end watch. But Carmelo Anthony – OKC Thunder forward, Olympic medalist and entrepreneur – is on a league of his own.

A watch collector for more than a decade now, he chooses a scholarly approach to collecting, studying a timepiece’s history and mechanisms, and diversifying his collection to include almost every luxury watch brand out there.

Anthony has a pair of one of Rolex’s largest watches, the Rolex Yacht-Master II. He alternates between the 18k yellow gold and stainless steel version, both of which have the bright blue, scratch- and fade-resistant Cerachrom ceramic bezel.

The basketball star has a penchant for watches that combine luxury and sport – and the Breguet Marine Royal is just that. While pretty in design, the watch is very functional, with water resistance of up to 300 meters, a rotating diver’s bezel and an alarm feature.

Yet another large Rolex in Anthony’s collection is the Rolex Sky-Dweller, which boasts 14 patents and is positioned as the ultimate luxury watch. He also has at least two of them – one in white gold and another in yellow gold.

Anthony describes the Hublot Ferrari as one of his fun pieces. Hublot became the official high-end watchmaker for the iconic Italian sports car brand back in 2011. For someone who’s also a car collector, this watch is right up Anthony’s alley.
