The Navitimer is undoubtedly Breitling’s most famous watch. It was designed to help pilots do all their calculations with one tool – using its now iconic circular slide rule bezel. The range of numbers you see around its dial make a host of pilot-appropriate calculations possible, such as distances and air speed. This tool was necessary pre electronic calculator, but it remains useful today. BREITLING SUPEROCEAN | The Diver’s Watch
Launched: 1957The Superocean is Breitling’s dedicated diver’s watch collection. It was created in the middle of the ‘50s dive watch boom, with a water resistance of 200 meters and a practical design of Arabic numerals and oversized hands, it beat its contemporaries impressively. The Superocean Heritage line, launched on its 50^th anniversary in 2007, pays homage to the inaugural model. BREITLING CHRONOMAT and AVENGER | The All-rounders
Launched: 1984The Chronomat, with its heftier, brawnier case, was designed to weather even the most extreme conditions. It’s equipped with both a diver’s bezel and a chronograph function, and its water resistance ranges from 100 to 500m depending on the model. The Avenger is similar to the Chronomat with its features, but it has a simpler case design and less busy dials. BREITLING TRANSOCEAN | The Traveller’s Watch
Launched: 1958Building on the Superocean’s success and the growth in transcontinental flights, Breitling launched the Transocean in the late ’50s. It was consciously designed for frequent travelers, hence its sportive but relatively refined ’50s feel. It was discontinued for decades, but was relaunched in 2010 – this time, with Breitling’s in-house chronograph movements in the majority of the range.Best for: frequent travelers, and those who want a classic casual-to-dress watch |

BREITLING FOR BENTLEY | The Luxury Performance Watch
Launched: 2002Nothing says luxury like a Bentley; and combined with Breitling’s technical expertise, you get an elegant performance watch. The Swiss watchmaker and British car manufacturer collaborated in 2002 to create a line of chronographs inspired by luxurious automobiles.
