Gordan Ramsay’s Watch Collection
MasterChef Gordon Ramsay is known for his fiery temper and high standards. It seems that his exacting demands in the kitchen also apply to his choice of watches.
Despite having a small watch collection (that is, compared to other celebrities), his timepieces are impressive – and are some of the best ever created.
Let’s check out Gordon’s favorite watches, vintage and new:
Rolex Submariner ref 1680
The Rolex Submariner ref 1680 was produced for ten years, beginning in 1967. The vintage watch is best known for being the reference with six different “Mark” versions – three with “meter first” text on the dial and another three with “feet first” text.
Gordon wears his ref 1680 with a leather strap, which emphasizes the vintage and rugged look of the Submariner.
Breitling Aeromarine Chrono Avenger
One of Gordon’s standout pieces is the Breitling Chrono Avenger M1. The stunning yellow dial, paired with three black sub-dials, really makes the watch pop. The titanium construction gives the watch a robust but light body, that’s perfect for action packed days.
Gordon wears the Rolex Yacht-Master Everose Rubber Strap Watch ref 116655 in some of his merchandise packaging. The ultimate in design and style, it’s the first Rolex model to be equipped with the Oysterflex rubber strap. The bracelet has “fins” underneath, that leaves some space between the bracelet and the wrist, allowing for air circulation and comfort.
Rolex Submariner ref 14060
This model is considered the last of the “classic” Rolex Submariners – that is, it has no date on the dial, is equipped with an aluminium bezel insert, and a pre-Super case and Maxi dial.
Contemporary Rolex Submariners have impressive features, but for those seeking a bridge between old and new, this is the perfect Submariner to get.
Rolex Submariner 18K White Gold Blue Dial
One of the models launched on the centennial year of Rolex, the Rolex Submariner ref 116619 was the first Submariner to be crafted in solid, 18k white gold. They matched the luxe construction with a standout lacquered blue dial and bezel.
Don’t be fooled though – the “Smurf” as it’s called, has all the makings of a Rolex Submariner, including water resistance of up to 1,000 feet.
Yet another beautiful vintage watch in Gordon’s collection, is a black bezel vintage Rolex GMT-Master ref 1675. This timepiece dates back to the early 1970s, and is made more desirable with some patina on the dial, and fading on the bezel.
