Rolex Watches on MasterChef

IWC Pilot Mark XVIII

The American edition of MasterChef just wrapped up its landmark 10th season; and they pulled out all the stops. Helicopter rides, pyrotechnics and unexpected twists kept things exciting for fans of the show.

The cooking challenges were gripping for sure but we also can’t help but spot the bevy of watches that the judges wore on the show. Masterchefs, Gordon Ramsay and Joe Bastianich, sure served some tasty watches on the show! Check them out:

Rolex GMT Master II Black Red Coke Bezel Steel Mens Watch 16710

Rolex GMT-Master II Coke

Restaurateur and author Joe Bastianich returned in Season 9 after a brief hiatus to focus on other television projects. The prolific businessman is also quite the Rolex collector, counting several models of the Submariner, Daytona, and GMT-Master as part of his collection.

For the Season 10 finale, his choice was the Rolex GMT-Master II Black Red Bezel also known as the “Coke”. This model is no longer part of the current GMT-Master II line-up, so take this chance to make it a part of your collection. Photo from Joe Bastianich on Instagram

IWC Pilot Mark XVIII

Gordon has an extensive watch collection that we covered here, but for every season of MasterChef, he only wears a few select pieces. For Season 10, he was most often spotted wearing the IWC Pilot Mark XVIII on a custom green strap.

The Mark XVIII has a clean dial that’s reduced to only the essentials and the white-on-black color makes it even more legible. Perfect for time-strapped days in the kitchen! Video from First We Feast on YouTube

Rolex Submariner Smurf White Gold Blue Dial Bezel Watch 116619

Rolex Submariner Smurf

Gordon also wore his ultra-luxe white gold Rolex Submariner Blue Dial Bezel on the show. This edition is made entirely in 18k white gold, which is pretty unusual for a dive watch. Aptly called the “Smurf” in watch circles, the Submariner ref. 116619 also features a matching rich blue dial topped with Chromalight hour markers. Photo from Gordon Ramsay on Twitter

Panerai Luminor 1950 3 Days GMT 44mm Watch PAM00347

Panerai Luminor 1950

Graham Elliot, Michelin-starred chef and author, co-judged MasterChef and MasterChef Junior for 6 years. He’s a one-watch man, and he wore his Panerai Luminor 1950 GMT throughout his stint on the show. The all-steel construction of the 44mm watch makes it a robust kitchen companion. Photo from Graham Elliot on Twitter

Rolex Submariner Vintage Brown Strap Steel Mens Watch 1680

Rolex Submariner Vintage

Gordon has several vintage Rolex watches in his collection, and his choice for this season is his ref. 1680 Submariner. The 1680 is the first Submariner to come with a date feature and Cyclops date magnifier, making it a milestone model in Rolex’s history.

Gordon matched it with a leather NATO-style band, which emphasizes its vintage feel. Video from Gordon Ramsay on Instagram

Rolex Daytona Chronograph Black Dial Steel Mens Watch 116520

Rolex Cosmograph Daytona

It appears that the steel Daytona is Joe’s favorite, as he is often spotted wearing this watch. He owns both the white and black dial variations of the pre-ceramic bezel Daytona ref 116520.

This reference is the first Daytona to run on a movement completely designed and produced in-house by Rolex, making it an important model in Rolex history. Photo from Joe Bastianich on Instagram

Joe may seem like a serious, no non-sense businessman, but he likes to have fun with fashion, too. He pairs his stainless steel, black dial Rolex Submariner with different NATO-style strap designs. Photo from Spectrum Designs on Instagram
