Rob Lowe’s Rolex Watches

If any actor knows a thing or two about reinventing themselves, it’s Rob Lowe. The 56-year old came to prominence as a teen idol in the 1980s, then saw a career resurgence in the 2000s, with TV hits like The West Wing. Today, he is as famous for his ageless appearance, as well as his on-screen appearances.

Rob loves his stainless steel Rolex Daytona so much, he even has two of them. This watch is sought after by collectors for many reasons. Not only does it boast a versatile finish and bezel that’s crafted from robust Rolex steel, it also features the Daytona’s first in-house movement: the calibre 4130.

The ref 116718 was launched in the early 2000s and brought with it many upgrades to the GMT Master II line. It was the first in the collection to be equipped with the Cerachrom ceramic bezel, Maxi Dial, wider lugs, Triplock crown, and the new calibre 3186 movement with the smoother hour hand. All these changes were made to mark the 50th anniversary of the Rolex GMT Master in 2005.
