Rob Lowe Watch Collection

If any actor knows a thing or two about reinventing themselves, it’s Rob Lowe. The 56-year old came to prominence as a teen idol in the 1980s, then saw a career resurgence in the 2000s, with TV hits like The West Wing. Today, he is as famous for his ageless appearance, as well as his on-screen appearances.

How does Rob Lowe do it? He keeps a fit physique, an on-point wardrobe, modern haircuts, and timepieces that only get better with age. Check out the choice timepieces of Rob Lowe.

GMT Master II Batman

Rolex GMT Master II Batman

While the original GMT Master was created for pilots, it’s loved by collectors today for its amazingly versatile look and function. It can be worn in almost any setting, from water excursions to casual weekends, and even the boardroom.

The Rolex GMT Master Batman is the first instance of a two-colored ceramic bezel. The process of achieving two colors on one solid bezel was once thought too difficult, so when the Batman was launched, everyone took notice. Not only is the blue-black bezel the first of its kind, it’s also a handsome iteration of the famous two-tone bezel.

Daytona White Dial Chrono

Rolex Cosmograph Daytona Steel Chronograph

Rob loves his stainless steel Rolex Daytona so much, he even has two of them. This watch is sought after by collectors for many reasons. Not only does it boast a versatile finish and bezel that’s crafted from robust Rolex steel, it also features the Daytona’s first in-house movement: the calibre 4130.

The ref 116520 is a newer reference that debuted in 2000, with index hour markers and silver subdials on top of the beautifully designed black or white dials.

GMT Master II Yellow Gold Green Dial

Rolex GMT Master II Yellow Gold

The ref 116718 was launched in the early 2000s and brought with it many upgrades to the GMT Master II line. It was the first in the collection to be equipped with the Cerachrom ceramic bezel, Maxi Dial, wider lugs, Triplock crown, and the new calibre 3186 movement with the smoother hour hand. All these changes were made to mark the 50th anniversary of the Rolex GMT Master in 2005.

This particular model is made even more special by the bright green dial – Rolex’s signature color, and a wonderfully luxurious touch to the legendary pilot’s watch.

If Rob has the understated and versatile stainless steel Daytona, he also got himself the uber luxurious solid yellow gold, diamond dial version. The classically designed black dial serves as the perfect backdrop for the champagne chronograph subdials and original Rolex factory diamond hour markers.

This is the perfect accessory for making a statement – with a watch this bold and luxurious, you won’t need much else.

Luminor Acciaio

Panerai Luminor 1950 Acciaio

Earlier in his career, Rob was also spotted with a Panerai Luminor 1950 in an oversized 47mm case. As subdued as it is, this model has all the elements that have made Panerai known throughout the world: the robust cushion-shaped case in corrosion resistant steel, the black “sandwich” dial with large figures at the cardinal points and the minimalist bar hour markers.
