Tudor Watches on Celebrities

Tudor Black Bay Pepsi and Rootbeer

For many decades, Tudor watches have been known as the more affordable sibling brand of Rolex. While that still holds true, Tudor has also come into its own — a strong brand of robust watches with a retro-cool feel, and lately has been producing some of the most covetable timepieces.

We’ve been increasingly seeing Tudor watches on celebrity wrists, too. With brand ambassadors like David Beckham and Lady Gaga, and the likes of watch connoisseur John Mayer wearing their hot new releases, Tudor has indeed become A-list approved. Here are our favorite Tudor watches, as seen on the wrists of stars.

Tudor Pelagos Blue Dial Automatic Titanium Mens Watch 25600

Tudor Pelagos on David Beckham

David Beckham, as many of you might know, is Tudor’s first brand ambassador. He goes above and beyond his role, sporting a different Tudor watch on and off-duty.

He’s most often spotted with the Tudor Pelagos, the most water resistant and robust tool watch that Tudor currently makes. With a 500m depth rating, a 42mm titanium case and a helium escape valve, the watch is very fitting for his water excursions and beach holidays.

Aside from the blue Tudor Pelagos, David also owns a custom black Tudor Pelagos with the logo of Inter Miami (a professional soccer club which he partly owns) on the 6 o’clock mark, where the Tudor detailing would usually be placed.

Tudor Heritage Black Bay GMT Pepsi Bezel Mens Watch 79830RB

Tudor Black Bay GMT on John Mayer

Singer-songwriter John Mayer is well-known in watch circles as an avid collector and reviewer of rare timepieces and haute horlogerie, but he’s also quite a huge fan of Tudor’s daily wearers.

He has previously been spotted with the Tudor Heritage Black Bay Black; and more recently has been sporting the Pepsi GMT model from the Black Bay series.

Like its siblings, the Tudor Black Bay GMT takes inspiration from vintage models of the brand, but it’s also one of the very first GMT watches from Tudor – creating a mix of heritage and novelty that many have found to be irresistible.

Tudor Glamour Date 31 White Dial Diamond Steel Ladies Watch M53020

Tudor Glamour Date on Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga is Tudor’s lone female ambassador; and she truly embodies their Born to Dare mantra. Best known for her over-the-top fashion sense and eccentric music style, Gaga likes to keep it simple and elegant when it comes to timepieces.

She sports the Tudor Glamour Date 31 and Black Bay 32. While both were created for female wrists, they are resilient everyday companions for busy women like Gaga, who need a watch that can keep up with their lifestyle.

Tudor Heritage Black Bay Bronze Dial Mens Watch 79250

Tudor Heritage Black Bay Bronze on Brad Pitt

Tudor watches have also been the toast of the fashion industry, appearing in covers and editorials. In Brad Pitt’s GQ magazine cover, he sported the Tudor Black Bay Bronze.

This model created quite a stir at Baselworld 2016, with its tall and wide 43mm case and body made of copper aluminum alloy. This particular bronze used by Tudor lends to a unique and more even patina, making it look even more handsome as it ages.

Tudor Heritage Chrono Black Grey Dial Mens Watch 70330N

Tudor Heritage Chrono on Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise was one of the first to jump into the Tudor bandwagon, sporting a Tudor Heritage Chrono on the set of Mission: Impossible 4 Ghost Protocol.

It made its screen appearance just fresh off Baselworld 2010, where it made a buzz from its masterful contemporary spin of the Tudor Oysterdate Chronograph from the 1970s. The robust and sporty looking watch wears a vintage feel with the “Monte Carlo” dial, and just the right amount of orange details.

Tudor Heritage Black Bay Blue Bezel Steel Watch 79220B

Tudor Black Bay Blue on Will Smith

We’ve also seen actor-comedian Will Smith sporting the Tudor Heritage Black Bay Blue on the cover of Esquire magazine. The first edition of the Heritage Black Bay had a burgundy bezel and brown dial, so this blue and black edition was a welcome new addition for those seeking something more wearable.

The Black Bay Blue is essentially the same watch as previous Black Bay models in burgundy and black, but dialed back with a blue bezel, black dial and white metal for the hands and markers. It’s a quietly confident version that is easy to wear for any occasion.
