The Watches of Adam Driver

Adam Driver truly lives up to his last name. Before achieving success as an actor, Adam was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and worked shifts as a waiter and busboy while auditioning for acting jobs.

In 2012, he was given his first big break in the HBO drama Girls; and eventually his role as Kylo Ren in Star Wars would give him worldwide fame.

Today, he’s a quirky leading man best known for his intense and genuine performances. We’re putting the spotlight on Adam Driver and his watch collection.

From Rolex, Adam wears the recently discontinued Rolex Oyster Perpetual 39. It was the biggest size of the Oyster Perpetual collection for a while and was well-loved for its sportily elegant appearance.

Aside from classic colors like black and white, the OP 39 was also launched with more vibrant colors like sunray blue, rhodium, and red grape. Adam’s choice is the blue version with lime green accents.

Adam is a friend of the brand and part of the Breitling Cinema Squad alongside Brad Pitt and Charlize Theron. You’ll find a bevy of Breitling watches on his wrist, whether he’s on or off duty.

We’ve also spotted Adam with a Breitling Navitimer 8 Chronograph. While the classic Navitimer is instantly recognizable for its slide rule bezel, the Navitimer 8 does away with the flight bezel for instantaneous readability.

Introduced in 2018, this relatively new addition to the Navitimer line has a vintage design that pays homage to classic pilot watches and in-flight instruments used in the 1940s.

For more formal occasions, Adam swaps his sporty Breitlings for the dressier Breitling Premier. The original Premier line first ran in the 1940s; and was always focused on subtlety and elegance. Instead of sporty, functional watches typical of Breitling, these are handsomely refined timepieces for casual to formal wear.

Still from the Premier line, Adam wears the Norton Edition Chronograph. Born from a partnership between Breitling and British motorcycle company Norton, the watch has a rugged look and well-executed color scheme that evokes a vintage feel. Most recently, Adam was spotted at Cannes wearing his 44mm Breitling Chronomat B01. The Chronomat is Breitling’s all-purpose mechanical chronograph with a 200m depth rating, bold aesthetic and robust build. It’s as sporty as watches come, but Adam was able to pull it off in full-suited regalia. Photo from Breitling

Adam has one Omega timepiece in his watchbox, and of course it had to be the Speedmaster. He wears a limited edition Michael Schumacher model, which pays homage to the legendary racer. The watch references the sport with a chequered dial, red baton hour markers and the word ‘racing’ inscribed on the dial.
