Our Favorite Blue Dial Watches

Vacheron Constantin Overseas Dual Time Blue Dial Steel Mens Watch 7900V

Blue dial watches are some of the most popular in the watch world. The all-occasion hue is formal enough to wear with a suit, yet also casual to wear on weekend excursions.

Signifying reliability, no wonder this color is popular among collectors, especially those who want to get the most out of their investment. Blending timeless appeal with a colorful look, blue dial watches are dignified and sporty at once – all attributes you want in a watch. Here are our favorite blue dial watches as of the moment:

Rolex Sky-Dweller Blue Dial

The Rolex Sky-Dweller was introduced in 2012 and came exclusively in gold. In 2017, the brand released Rolesor versions to make the series more approachable. These include the blue dial Sky-Dweller – with an Oystersteel body and 18k white gold fluted bezel.

The 326934 is now one of the most sought-after Sky-Dweller models and it’s not hard to see why. The sunburst blue dial not only complements the watch’s monochromatic finish and sporty Oyster bracelet but it’s also in tune with prevailing trends in high-end sports watches like the Nautilus and Royal Oak.

Cleaner baton indices and hands with silver-colored surrounds provide a more modern look and readability, while the subtle red details add interest to the dial.

Vacheron Constantin Overseas Blue Dial

The Vacheron Constantin Overseas is known by many as the alternative to more popular Rolex, AP, and Patek models, but that’s not the case anymore. Fueled by an interest in higher-end watches, popularity on Instagram, as well as a cultural moment on HBO’s Succession, the Overseas is now one of the hottest watches on the market.

A blue dial option is available across their range, from time-only to the more complicated chronograph, dual-time, and world time models. These watches exude masculinity with their steel construction, paired with a choice of either rubber or solid link bracelets.

Bearing a stunning sunburst finish, the blue dial, topped with luminous markers, is the perfect finishing touch to a chic traveler’s outfit. The Maltese cross-shaped bezel gives the timepieces an edgy look.

IWC Big Pilot’s Perpetual Calendar

The IWC Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar combines two of the brand’s most important inventions – the iconic pilot tool watch and the brand’s perpetual calendar, which recognizes different month lengths and leap years.

This timepiece has been in existence since 2006 but always in limited editions. In 2021, IWC finally made it a staple in their catalog, and in a refreshing blue dial. Boasting an imposing presence, the Big Pilot Perpetual Calendar features a 42mm steel case, a calfskin leather strap, and an onion-shaped crown at the right.

The watch’s midnight blue colorway is an IWC fan favorite. A similar hue is used in the successful Le Petit Prince line, which are tributes to renowned pilot Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. With a polished steel body, this regular production model is a democratic approach to the coveted perpetual calendar complication.

Omega Speedmaster Tokyo 2020 Blue Dial

The Omega Speedmaster is loved for its classic black dial, but for those who want something a little bit unique, the “blue Panda” has always been a go-to.

We first saw the combination of a blue tachymeter bezel, blue sunburst dial, and silvery-white sub-dials on the 2006 Gemini IV, which celebrates the 40th anniversary of the first spacewalk. As a limited edition watch, this model is harder to acquire that’s why fans were delighted when Omega released a similar Tokyo 2020 Speedmaster model in 2020.

Much like regular Speedys, the Tokyo 2020 blue dial has a 42mm case and a polished and brushed finish. Red details – like the Speedmaster logo and the red-tipped seconds hand – make for more legible reading.

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15400ST

The well-loved contemporary version of the Royal Oak, which features a 41mm size, also comes in a rare blue Grande Tapisserie dial. This model is a “boutique-only” edition, distributed exclusively in Audemars Piguet dealers – but has made its way to the secondary market.

The watch has a steel finish with a mini date window at 3 and luminous baton hour markers. In addition to the crisp white dial and monochromatic black dial options, the blue dial version makes for a great compromise, adding a pop of color while maintaining the sporty, industrial look that the Royal Oak is famous for.
