Henry Golding’s Grail Watches

Henry Golding has come a long way from his breakout role in the 2018 hit Crazy Rich Asians. In just three years, the Brit-Malaysian actor has gone on to star in several other movies including the thriller A Simple Favour and the romantic comedy Last Christmas.

We covered his watch collection as an up-and-coming Hollywood actor, and since then, he’s made important new acquisitions. In fact, these three timepieces may be all a collector ever needs in his watch box. Check out the choice timepieces of Henry Golding:

Rolex GMT-Master II Pepsi

Henry has a stellar watch collection composed of pieces that will never go out of style, and of course, the Rolex Pepsi is sure to be present. This versatile GMT watch, whose bi-colored bezel and 24-hour hand deliver a recognizable look, suits the actor’s dapper style.

The model he prefers is the GMT-Master II 126710, which marked the comeback of the steel “Pepsi” in 2018 after 10 years of hiatus. Instead of aluminum, the watch’s bezel is now made of Cerachrom – Rolex’s proprietary ceramic material. Moreover, the 126710 features a Jubilee bracelet, which was previously reserved for Datejust models only.

Apart from bearing the upgraded Caliber 3235 with a 70-hour power reserve, the watch also features a longer-lasting Chromalight lume and a 904L-grade Oystersteel. A modern and more elegant take on the iconic red-and-blue timepiece, the 126710 works well with both formal and casual ensembles.

Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711

Another watch that is constantly on Henry’s wrist these days is the Patek Philippe Nautilus. The host-turned-actor considers this the flashiest piece in his collection.

Henry went for the 5711/1A, which is one of the most coveted sports watches today, with a years-long waitlist in the pre-owned market. Together with the Rolex Daytona and AP Royal Oak, it started the hype for steel luxury sports timepieces.

Launched in 2006 for the Nautilus’ 30th anniversary, the 5711/1A has a sleek finish and gradient blue dial that make it an all-occasion watch. Meanwhile, its prestige makes it a known status symbol. While the supply was already low during its production run, the Nautilus has become more sought-after when the model was discontinued in 2021.

Cartier Tank Louis

Henry also adores the Cartier Tank Louis, which he specifically acquired for the Crazy Rich Asians premiere. It is the quintessential Tank watch, where all iterations of the classic rectangular watch are based.

The Tank Louis remains faithful to the distinguishing elements that have made the Tank iconic. These include the crisp white dial, the painted Arabic numerals, the blue sapphire cabochon crown, and the blue sword-shaped hands. Equipped with an alligator strap, this watch is as enduring and versatile as it gets.
