This timepiece is a particularly interesting choice because it blends Cartier’s design history with its fine watchmaking abilities. Its basics are built on the still-relatively-new Santos, released back in early 2018, which updated the century-old classic to be a bit more streamlined and contemporary. Instead of the traditional silvered dial, we have the openworked Caliber 9611 MC, an in-house movement with bridges that serve as Roman numeral hour markers. The actor’s choice model is in the large size and is crafted in stainless steel. Photos from top: Oscars.org ; Andrew H. Walker/BEI/REX/Shutterstock ; Getty Images |
