5 Fun Watches from Drake’s Collection

Rolex President Day-Date White Gold Pink Opal Diamond Dial Watch 128239

Drake, five-time Grammy winner and Hotline Bling singer and has a lot of, well, bling. The Canadian rapper doesn’t shy away from flexing his collection of jewelry and watches, comprised mainly of glitzy, eye-catching designs.

While he does have a few classic pieces, Drake breaks a lot of conventional watch collecting rules and gravitates towards watches that are truly unique. Here are 5 fun watches we spotted on Drake.

Rolex President Day-Date White Gold Pink Opal Diamond Dial Watch 128239

Rolex Day-Date Pink Opal Diamond Dial

Who says pink and diamonds are only reserved for the ladies? Drake confidently wears the Rolex Day-Date 36mm in white gold with a pink opal dial. This watch also features hour markers that are set with brilliant cut diamonds and fashioned from gold to prevent tarnishing.

For Drake’s choice model, diamonds are also set around the bezel and along the center of the President bracelet. This Day-Date is also available with a simpler but equally attractive fluted bezel, combined with the classic President bracelet. Photos from @knolldoll on Instagram

Rolex Day-Date 36 Yellow Gold Turquois Dial ref. 128348RBR

Rolex Day-Date Turquoise Dial

Drake owns another of Rolex’s current stone dials, an 18-carat yellow gold Day-Date 36 ref. 128348RBR with a striking turquoise face. This watch isn’t simply turquoise in color; it’s constructed from the stone itself, with natural striations visible on the dial. It also has a gleaming bezel adorned with 32 diamonds and Roman numeral VI and IX set with an additional 24 diamonds.

Drake’s choice Day-Date also runs on the new-generation automatic Caliber 3255, with about 70 hours of power reserve, as well as high-performance shock absorbers and stop-seconds for exact time setting. Photos from @GQ on Instagram and Rolex

Rolex Daytona Yellow Gold Green Dial Mens Watch 116508

Rolex Daytona Green Dial 116508

Drake joins an elite, exclusive group of collectors with the 18k yellow gold, green dial Rolex Daytona ref. 116508. Jonah Hill, Roger Federer, and Conor McGregor are among the few collectors who own this piece, but it wasn’t popular until John Mayer called it a ‘sleeper hit’.

There have been quite a few iterations of full-gold Daytonas, including those with special dials, but the contrast between this watch’s iridescent green dial and the 18-carat yellow gold casing makes it exceptionally eye-catching and noticeable from afar. The green also adds a playful flair to this model that is absent in Daytonas with a black or white dial. Photos from @champagnepapi on Instagram

Patek Philippe Nautilus 40th Anniversary Chronograph

Patek Philippe Nautilus 40th Anniversary

The Patek Philippe Nautilus is the grail watch that collectors spend years obtaining. Drake has an extra special Nautilus in his collection – a limited-edition version of the already scarce piece: only 1,300 pieces of this 40th-anniversary model were released in 2016.

The 40th Anniversary Nautilus Chronograph is the Swiss brand’s biggest Nautilus so far, boasting a 44mm wide 18-carat white gold case. It pays homage to the elegantly remodeled 30th-anniversary collection, which was released in 2006, and includes a blue flyback chronograph dial with a modest recessed anniversary emblem, a series of digits (1976-40-2016) symbolizing the anniversary, and ten baguette diamond indices. Patek Philippe Virgil Abloh-Customized Nautilus 5726

Patek Philippe Virgil Abloh-Customized Nautilus 5726

Nothing stands out more in Drake’s video for his single “What’s Next” than his Patek Philippe Nautilus, which has been personalized by late designer Virgil Abloh. The watch is a ref. 5726, a highly sought-after annual calendar watch with a moonphase indicator, which was added to the Nautilus line in 2019.

Abloh created the extravagant watch in collaboration with the jewelry firm MAD Paris. One of only two in the world, it was entirely disassembled, cleaned, and placed in a special vacuum chamber to be covered with diamond-like carbon before being decorated in rare emeralds. We don’t know how many stones were put on the watch, but it appears to be quite a few. Photos from @complex and @virgilabloh on Instagram
