Breitling Watches in Enchanting Green Shades

Color has been a major horological trend in recent years. Blue was always the principal alternative to black, silvered, and champagne dials. Browns, reds, and oranges also entered the scene. In a rainbow of possibilities though, today’s watch brands have one strong favorite – the color green.

While almost every major brand has made a green dial, it’s Breitling who has offered the widest variety. From light and breezy pistachio to dark, deep forest greens, here are 6 Breitling watches in the refreshing hue.

A high-polished case – from the sloped bezel and case sides to the chronograph pushers and crown – completes the retro feel, as does a somewhat pale pastel green dial, which Breitling names pistachio green. In 2019, Breitling introduced three military-inspired watches as a part of the Aviator 8 Curtiss P-40 Warhawk collection. Watches under this series are inspired by the Navitimer 8 collection and are an homage to the US aircraft manufacturer Curtiss Wright and its legendary fighter plane, the P-40 Warhawk.

One of the standout models in the Aviator 8 Curtiss P-40 Warhawk collection is the ref. AB0119 – a military-inspired chronograph with bold Arabic numerals on an olive green face and red accents on the seconds hand, bezel, and chronograph sub-dial.

It is paired with a green-colored textile strap for a rugged but stylish green-on-green look and runs on Breitling’s in-house Manufacture Caliber 01, which offers a 70-hour power reserve.

The Breitling Top Time “Ford Mustang” Edition is part of the capsule Top Time Classic Cars collection, which honors three classic American cars. The Breitling Top Time was first released in the 1960s with its characteristic Panda chronograph layout, and has since been revisited in Limited Edition collections. The Classic Cars collection was developed for fans of vintage automobiles and classic chronographs alike.
