There\u2019s a gear attached to the date wheel that has a pin attached. This pin pushes the date disc forward every 24 hours. So as the time approaches midnight (between 8pm and midnight depending on the watch) the pin comes into contact with the disc. If you turn the date disc with the crown at this point you could minimally jam the gear or at worst cause the wheel to break!<\/p>\n
