Orlando Bloom is well-known for his roles in\u00a0Lord of the Rings\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0Pirates of the Caribbean<\/em>, but few people know that he\u2019s also a watch aficionado.<\/p>\n

While he reportedly has around 40 luxury watches, Bloom is so discreet that his hobby only became public knowledge when the watches were stolen by the notorious\u00a0Bling Ring <\/em>in 2009. Thankfully, the rare and expensive pieces were eventually recovered and returned to him.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Rolex GMT-Master<\/a> 1675\u00a0<\/em>is the brand\u2019s famed pilot watch created for\u00a0Pan Am<\/em>\u00a0in 1959, with the characteristic red and blue \u201cPepsi\u201d bezel. This original version is one of Rolex\u2019s longest-running models, which was produced until 1980. Newer models of the Pepsi bezel<\/a> remain a must-have for Rolex fans until today.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The\u00a0Rolex Explorer<\/a> II 1655<\/em>\u00a0goes by two names among watch enthusiasts \u2013 \u201cOrange Hand\u201d for its brightly-colored 24-hour hand, and \u201cSteve McQueen\u201d because it was rumored to have been worn by the famous movie star and racer. Orlando wears his on a leather fat-strap which gives it an even cooler look.<\/p>\n

Aside from being a movie star, Orlando is also an ambassador for Unicef, and has auctioned off some of his watches to benefit the organization. One of the watches that he offered for auction was the\u00a0Breitling Navitimer<\/a> 806<\/em> with a slide-rule pilot bezel, which was produced in the 1960\u2019s. While he\u2019s obviously a vintage Rolex fan, Orlando also has some sporty timepieces from other brands. One of his choice brands is Panerai. He has been spotted wearing the Panerai PAM 511 Luminor<\/a> Marina 8 Days in Rose Gold<\/em>\u00a0which looks very smart on his wrist.<\/p>\n
