There is perhaps no other celebrity watch collection that can rival Eric Clapton\u2019s.<\/p>\n

The lone\u00a0three-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and 18-time Grammy Award-winner, has a collection as prolific and revered as his music. So rare, valuable,\u00a0and outstanding are the watches, that a number of them have come up for auction.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0<\/span>Rolex \u201cRed\u201d Submariner<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>ref.\u00a01860 is a highly collectible watch. It was the first Submariner to feature the date function and Cyclops lens, and the only model with red \u201cSUBMARINER\u201d writing, which was phased out eventually. As a result, the vintage model is highly sought out by Rolex fans.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

A former Rolex Ambassador and passionate collector of vintage watches, Eric has owned some of the most rare and important Rolex watches ever. Seen here is the\u00a0Rolex \u201cOyster Albino\u201d Daytona\u00a0<\/a>ref. 6263 which was auctioned off in 2008, and again in 2015. It\u2019s one of only four of its kind in the world.<\/p>\n

Eric is also a prolific collector of rare Patek Philippe watches<\/a>, and have auctioned off some of his pieces.<\/p>\n

Among them are the\u00a0Patek Philippe 5790 Perpetual Calendar Chronograph<\/strong>\u00a0(left), and\u00a0Patek Philippe 3970G<\/strong> (right), a white gold perpetual calendar and moon phase watch with a salmon dial.
