The Rolex Submariner, launched in 1954, was created by Rolex for the diving community. Today, it\u2019s arguably the world\u2019s most recognizable timepiece and is on every watch lover\u2019s wish list \u2013 whether they dive or not.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s no different in the world of high-profile athletes, actors, musicians, and tastemakers. The Rolex Submariner is a staple in their watch collections, with some of them owning several models.<\/p>\n

For Rolex Submariner purists, nothing beats the classic stainless steel and black Rolex Submariner. The Submariner 5512 and 5513 are the ancestors of today\u2019s stainless steel Submariners, because they epitomize\u00a0the\u00a0<\/em>original Submariner \u2013 no date complication, stainless steel with an acrylic crystal, and with crown guards.
