#5 | Omega Seamaster PloProf (1970)<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n

The PloProf\u2019s name is derived from the French\u00a0plongeur professionnel <\/em>or professional diver. The 1960s saw the rise of underwater exploration as well as sports like scuba diving. This lead Omega to develop a watch that is robust, waterproof, easily wearable, and high-depth rated.<\/p>\n

The PloProf cannot be mistaken for any other watch: its screwed-in crown is prominently located at 9 o\u2019clock, and it is water resistant to an outstanding 4000 ft. It remains one of the most preferred watches of professional divers.

#4 | Omega Constellation (1952)<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n

The Constellation<\/a> was once the flagship watch of the Omega brand. Its pre-cursor, the\u00a0Centenary watch of 1948, was so well-received. This lead Omega to create another watch with the same watchmaking standards they used to create their first automatic, chronometer-grade watch.<\/p>\n

The original Constellation<\/a>\u2019s design DNA include a perfectly round case, beautifully faceted lugs and gold dauphine hands. Today, the Constellation\u2019s design is that of a classic dress watch \u2013 representing the marriage of luxury and function.

#3 | Omega DeVille (1967)<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n

The DeVille was originally part of the Omega Seamaster<\/a> family; but was launched as a separate line in 1967. Created in Geneva instead of at the Omega headquarters in Bienne, it signaled the brand\u2019s entry into creating modernistic, urban elegant designs.<\/p>\n

By 1999, the Omega DeVille<\/a> Co-Axial would also become the first Omega watch to be equipped with the Co-Axial escapement. #2 | Omega Seamaster (1948)<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n

Before the launch of the Seamaster in 1948, Omega was already respected for its robust diver\u2019s watches. It would further cement this reputation with the first Omega Seamaster<\/a>, modeled after the watches worn by British military during World War II. What made the Seamaster particularly popular, is that it had impressive water resistance but could be used as a dress watch.<\/p>\n

Over the years, Omega would launch a large variety of Seamaster watches for different needs: from dive watches to casual watches and world timers. Today, the Seamaster is Omega\u2019s oldest collection that’s still in production. As the Speedy\u2019s name suggests, it was created for the race track but it ended up becoming so much more. The story of how the Omega Speedmaster<\/a> got to the moon is well known. NASA tested several watches for its space explorations but only Omega made the cut. It went on to accompany the astronauts of Apollo 11 on the first lunar landing.<\/p>\n
