Baselworld is arguably the most anticipated event in the watch industry, and due to the global pandemic, we’ll have to wait until 2021 to see the usual suites of new watches.<\/p>\n

Along with Patek Philippe and Tudor, Rolex has confirmed that they are delaying their 2020 releases. Whether they’ll wait for next year’s Baselworld or launch them later this year is still up in the air. One thing’s for sure – it’ll be a while before you get your hands on new models of Daytona, GMT-Master or your favorite Rolex watch.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Rolex Yacht-Master<\/a> has a wide range of sizes for men and women, from\u00a029,\u00a035,\u00a037 and 40mm. In 2019, Rolex made a smart move by adding a 42mm version, for those who’ve always loved the Yacht-Master but want a slightly bigger watch.<\/p>\n

The rubber strap or Oysterflex version of the Yacht-Master was first launched in 2015, and it came in a black and Everose gold version. The 2019 edition is in a more understated white gold case\u00a0and black Oysterflex strap. A matte black Cerachrom bezel\u00a0insert with raised black numerals and indices completes the look. Rolex GMT-Master II Batman Jubilee<\/a> Bracelet<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The Rolex GMT-Master<\/a> II Batman was the first to receive a bi-colored ceramic bezel (a feat initially thought to be impossible), and last year, it got a dressier look. The 2019 model takes the place of the original Batman, and this time, it is only made available with the five-link Jubilee bracelet. Supple and well-executed, this gives the Batman a more elegant look and feel.<\/p>\n

The latest Rolex Batman<\/a> has also been updated with the Calibre 3285.\u00a0Part of Rolex\u2019s new generation of movements, the 3285\u00a0features a more efficient escapement and gear train, and offers\u00a0a longer power reserve (70 hours, from 48).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

For the longest time, Rolex’s saturation dive watch, the Sea-Dweller, was the only Rolex\u00a0tool watch without a version in\u00a0precious metal. This changed in 2019 with the Rolesor steel and yellow gold Rolex Sea-Dweller<\/a> 126603.<\/p>\n

While the Sea-Dweller was meant for longer use underwater, many have taken to using it for daily use, so the addition of gold was a welcome change.\u00a0This model\u00a0features the same Rolex Caliber 3225 and has the same technical specifications as its predecessor.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Rolex President Day-Date 36<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Rolex’s flagship watch also got a facelift with a profile that’s more subtle and elegant, and the new Caliber 3255. The new caliber 3255 is part of the new generation of Rolex movements that have a more strict regulation (-2\/+2 seconds per day on average). New dials also made it to the portfolio, including an ombre (or shaded) green and brown dial with a gradient effect.<\/p>\n

It’s not the first time that Rolex has fitted their watches with a meteorite dial (we have previously seen examples in the Daytona, Day-Date, Datejust, and\u00a0Cellini\u00a0lines), but the Rolex Pepsi from 2019 is the first from the line to have it. Rolex uses 200-million years old Gibeon meteorites that literally fell from the atmosphere, making this edition of the already coveted Rolex Pepsi even more collectible.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Rolex Cosmograph Daytona ‘Wildcat’<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Perhaps the most polarizing of all their 2019 releases, the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona<\/a> ‘Wildcat’ model is a fully bejeweled watch with a leopard pattern on the dial. With an 18k yellow gold case, the watch’s dial is a maze filled with black lacquer and diamonds, leaving just enough space for three champagne-colored chronograph subdials. Taking the place of the tachymeter bezel are 36 trapeze-cut diamonds. Eye-catching, indeed!<\/p>\n

Rolex Datejust 36<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Finally, we have the 2019 edition of the Rolex Datejust<\/a> 36. To the naked eye, there isn’t much of a change, but true Datejust fans will notice the slight tweaks: the Oystersteel case with a more streamlined design; the Jubilee bracelet with center links that are now more robust than ever, and the Oysterlock clasp that features a 5 mm Easylink extension. Rolex released two models for 2019, both in Rolesor steel and white gold – one with a black dial and another with a white mother-of-pearl dial and 10 diamond hour markers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
