Introduced in the 1960s, the\u00a0Rolex Seadweller<\/a> was created as a tool for saturation divers. Its very first version tripled the already impressive water resistance of the Submariner<\/a>, and today, the most advanced Seadweller can handle\u00a0depths\u00a0up to 12,800 feet.<\/p>\n

In its more than 50-year history, the Seadweller not just evolved as an impressively engineered diver’s watch, but also as a luxury timepiece. Rolex Seadweller 40<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The 40mm Seadweller shares many similarities with the Rolex Submariner<\/a> —\u00a0with the addition of the helium escape valve, it\u00a0boasts an incredible depth rating of up to 4,000 feet.<\/p>\n

It also features an aluminum bezel and a pre-Maxi dial, giving it a slimmer profile that fits easily under the cuff. Launched in the late 1980s, the ref 16600 also had an incredibly long production period, making it an easier model to find pre-owned. Matt LeBlanc and Tom Hanks wear this version of the Seadweller.
