Shawn Mendes Watch Collection

Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes has achieved a lot at a young age. The Stitches singer is just 23 years old, and yet he already has multiple number one singles, Juno Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, and a few Grammy nominations under his belt.

Even when it comes to style, Shawn is wiser than his age. He recently joined the watch collecting game with highly impressive choices from Rolex, Audemars Piguet, and Vacheron Constantin. Here’s what Shawn Mendes wears on his wrist:

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak

Shawn’s first choice timepiece is the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak — one of the most iconic watches ever made. First introduced in 1972, this piece is well-loved for its avant-garde silhouette, hobnail-patterned dial, and polished integrated bracelet.

The singer went for the stainless steel Ref. 15400ST model, which introduced the larger 41mm size to the collection. This reference also has double baton indices at 12 o’clock to replace the AP logo, further emphasizing its contemporary look. Boasting a midnight blue shade, its Grande Tapisserie dial works well with both formal and casual looks.

Rolex Datejust Two-Tone

Judging by how often he takes it out of his watch box, Shawn’s favorite timepiece has to be the Rolex Datejust. He loves this classic model so much he has several kinds – one of them is the Datejust 36. One of the brand’s most successful releases, this watch has a timeless design as well as wearable proportions.

The edition he prefers is a versatile two-tone steel and gold, which works as a daily wearer or a statement piece depending on how you style it. The Oyster case, fluted bezel, and five-piece link Jubilee bracelet never go out of fashion, while the sunburst dial is both dignified and playful, all thanks to its deep blue hue.

Rolex Datejust Turnograph

A vintage Datejust Turnograph was also spotted on Shawn when he attended a Toronto Raptors game back in 2019. Launched in 1953, this watch was the first Rolex to feature a rotating timing bezel.

Shawn particularly adores the Ref. 1625, with a yellow gold finish and a chronometer-certified movement. Produced from the 1950s until the 1970s, this edition was hailed as the official timepiece of the US Air Force’s Thunderbird aerobatic team, earning it the nickname “Thunderbird.”

With its unmatched precision and exquisite looks, the Turnograph is a relatively easier vintage watch to come by. Its ratcheted bezel with an engine-turning finish adds interest to the classic Datejust design, while the brown leather strap makes it ideal for wearing under the cuff.

Vacheron Constantin Patrimony

Shawn made his first-ever Oscars appearance this year, where he presented the award for the best adapted screenplay. He didn’t disappoint with a double-breasted tuxedo and bow tie, which were perfectly tailored for his frame. Of course, his look needed a watch to feel complete, and he chose the perfect one – a Vacheron Constantin Patrimony in rose gold.

The Patrimony is an understated and contemporary take on the dress watch, with a perfectly round case and deliberately minimalist dial. The brown leather strap offers elegance and class, while the choice of rose gold adds just the right amount of warmth and luster to Shawn’s monochromatic ensemble.
