Pierce Brosnan’s Watch Collection

Pasha de Cartier Watches

Irish-born Brosnan rose to stardom in the United States when he got the title role in the romantic 80’s detective series Remington Steele. He has played a slew of different roles since then – some favored and good, some villainous and arrogant, but always smooth, calm and collected.

While he was best known for playing James Bond from 1995 to 2002, it’s hard to find any movie where he does not carry his suave attitude, smooth lady-killing skills, and dapper looks. The watches that accompanied his journey are just as sleek:

As the sophisticated, upper class detective Remington Steele (1982), he wore dandy suits and his choice of watch definitely suited the role. Considered one of the “It” watches of the 80’s, the Cartier Panthere captured the persona of the title character perfectly: elegant, powerful but nonchalant. Brosnan’s Panthere was a yellow gold version, with a three-link Figaro bracelet.

For his next mini-series Noble House (1988), he played a business tycoon in Hong Kong who is plunged into the world of espionage and dangerous romance. Many say it was the role that made him a debonair sex symbol, and the one where he showed people he can be the next James Bond. He wore suits of course, and accessorized with a yellow gold Pasha de Cartier on a leather strap.

In 1994, Brosnan replaced Roger Moore and became the fifth actor to play British Secret Service agent James Bond, beginning with GoldenEye. It was also the first time that Omega was working with the film’s franchise, and Brosnan wore a quartz version of the Omega Seamaster Professional 300M in his first film. He was loyal to the Omega Seamaster until his fourth and final James Bond movie, Die Another Day (2002).

In 1999, he starred alongside Rene Russo in the heist film The Thomas Crowne Affair. He played a debonair, self-made billionaire who seeks adventure and amuses himself by planning a multi-million dollar art theft. He wore a Jaeger Lecoultre Reverso Duowhose brand name appeared to be erased from the commercial release, as Brosnan was still under contract with Omega. The Reverso was hard to miss, nonetheless.
