Sylvester Stallone Rolex Watches

Sylvester Stallone is one of the most prolific watch collectors in Hollywood. He started building his collection back in the 1980s and it’s a passion that remains until today.

Sly is most famously credited for turning Panerai into a Hollywood favorite but he also has a wide range of brands and styles in his watch box – including traditional names like Patek Philippe and contemporary ones like Richard Mille.

Of course, Rolex won’t be missing from his collection. It was the brand that started his love affair with watches and continues to be a favorite. We’re putting the spotlight on Sly’s extensive Rolex watch collection.

Sly has a certain fondness for the Rolex Pepsi. He has not one, but three different versions of the blue and red bezeled timepiece, ranging from classic steel to gem-encrusted styles.

The most classic Rolex Pepsi in his collection is the 2018 Oystersteel version. After a decade-long hiatus, Rolex brought back the steel Pepsi with a few important upgrades: a Cerachrom ceramic bezel, a specially made five-piece Jubilee bracelet and the new generation Caliber 3285 with improved precision and power reserve. Photo from The Hollywood Reporter on Twitter

In 2019, Rolex brought back the white gold Pepsi last produced in 2014, this time with a very special dial made of meteorite (126719 BLRO). If you like ice in your Pepsi, Sly’s bold “Pepsi Patriot” watch (126755 SARU) will do the trick. This 18k white gold model comes with 23 diamonds, 18 rubies, and 18 sapphires on its bezel. While no longer a true GMT bezel, it compensates with a spectacular look. The lugs and crown guards also come with brilliant cut diamonds for extra sparkle. On his days off, Sly can often be spotted with Rolex’s stylish nautical watch, the Yachtmaster. Inspired by the yachting lifestyle, the splash-proof watch comes with 100m water resistance, a matte black Cerachrom bezel and the durable Oysterflex rubber strap. Sly is famous for wearing big and bold watches, so the Rolex Deepsea sure had to be part of his collection. With a 44mm diameter and 17.7mm thickness, the Deepsea is one of Rolex’s biggest watches. The size and thickness of the stainless steel case allows it to achieve its impressive water resistance of 12,800 ft — more than 100 times deeper than any person could survive. Sly also has ultra-luxe versions of Rolex’s chronograph watch – the Daytona. Built especially for professional racers in the 1960s, the use of precious metals, diamonds and gems has propelled the Daytona into the premier luxury chronograph that it is today.

Rolex watches made in the noblest metal are exclusively given glacier blue dials or registers. One of Sly’s watches is adorned with exceptionally clear baguette cut diamonds on the bezel, plus a pave diamond dial (116576 TBR). Sly’s passion for watches is well-documented, and one of the timepieces most associated with him is a yellow gold vintage Rolex Submariner. He bought this reference 1680/8 (seen above) using his first big paycheck in the 1980s and he still wears it from time to time.

Among the many things that makes this model unique is the Tiffany & Co dial (born from the co-branding deal between the two brands) and a “nipple” dial with protruding markers.

Sly counts the prestigious Rolex Day-Date as part of his collection. Rolex’s flagship watch features the iconic President bracelet with semi-circular links and a flawless precious metal finish.
