Watches at the 2023 Wimbledon

This year’s Wimbledon edition was one to remember, as it saw new phenoms Markéta Vondroušová and Carlos Alcaraz each become champions for the first time. Of course, aside from the action on the grass, the Wimbledon is sought after for the array of celebrities and royalty who come to watch. Where there are luminaries, there are great watches – and this year, they sure delivered wrist candy. Check out the watches we spotted at the 2023 Wimbledon.

Carlos Alcaraz

Carlos Alcaraz, a 20-year-old tennis player from Spain, won the 2023 Wimbledon for the first time after defeating seven-time Wimbledon winner Novak Djokovic. Holding his trophy up high, he was spotted wearing the Rolex Daytona ref 116519 LN.

This watch comes in yellow gold, with a black Cerachrom bezel and the brand’s proprietary Oysterflex bracelet. Its key feature is the striking meteorite dial that came directly from an asteroid, and is reminiscent of the Moon’s surface. Roger Federer

While Roger Federer may not have been on the court at the most recent Wimbledon, he still managed to have a moment in the spotlight. The retired tennis star was given a special ceremony honoring his Wimbledon victories throughout his career while wearing one of the most recent models of Rolex’s most technologically advanced offering – the Sky-Dweller.

David Beckham

David Beckham, a Wimbledon regular, once again demonstrates that style is crucial while attending a major athletic event. He matched his summer-themed Ralph Lauren suit with a striking Tudor Black Bay 58 for his most recent appearance at the annual tennis tournament.

David went for the yellow gold version (ref m79018v-0001), made more interesting by a unidirectional bezel topped with a matte green 60-minute graduated disc and a brilliant green dial with lume-filled indices and gold embellishments. Daniel Craig has long been the face of Omega, thanks to his many notable appearances as James Bond over the years. Therefore, it comes as no surprise to see him in Wimbledon wearing a Seamaster Planet Ocean GMT.
