George Clooney – Speedmaster Moonshine Gold Apollo 11 50th Anniversary and Speedmaster Moonwatch Yellow Gold

George Clooney, who is a longtime ambassador and collaborator of Omega, is always seen with the Swiss brand’s finest offerings on his wrist. Aside from the Seamaster, he also likes wearing the iconic MoonWatch.

He keeps two models in his collection. First is the exquisite Speedmaster Apollo 11 50th Anniversary. A commemorative model, it was given extra special touches – a Moonshine gold finish, a burgundy ceramic bezel, and faceted onyx hour markers on the dial. Created in celebration of the golden anniversary of the Apollo 11 mission, the watch also boasts an open caseback that reveals the manual winding Caliber 3861, a laser ablated world map, and a lunar meteorite to represent the moon.

George also has the Speedmaster MoonWatch Yellow Gold, which takes after the previous model in terms of layout, but with a black tachymeter bezel, a matching dial with raised baton indices, and the manual winding Caliber 1863, which is the inspiration of the previous model’s Caliber 3861. Ryan Reynolds – Speedmaster Moonshine Gold

Ryan Reynolds stepped onto the 2022 Met Gala red carpet wearing a velvet burgundy tuxedo by Ralph Lauren, which he paired with the Speedmaster MoonWatch in 18-karat Moonshine gold – Omega’s proprietary alloy that uses a mix of gold, silver, copper, and palladium. Aside from exuding more luster, this material is paler than traditional yellow gold and is more resistant to fading over time.

Daniel Craig – Speedmaster Red Gold

Daniel Craig, best known for his many famous appearances as James Bond, is frequently spotted wearing Omega watches both on and off-screen. While Bond is more typically seen wearing a Seamaster 300M or Planet Ocean, the actor also has an affinity for the Omega Speedmaster.

Nick Jonas – Speedmaster Canopus Gold

Nothing stands out more in Nick Jonas’ Spaceman music video than the Omega Speedmaster Canopus Gold on his wrist. This was such a fitting choice as the watch has been a part of all six moon landings.

Released in 2021, the Omega Speedmaster Canopus Gold is part of the revamped Speedmaster MoonWatch Professional line. Contemporary touches include silver sunray step dial with an applied Omega logo, a polished teardrop seconds hand, and long markers that extend into the chronograph track. A black aluminum tachymeter bezel provides striking contrast.

Measuring 42mm, the watch is crafted from Omega’s proprietary white gold alloy called Canopus Gold. This material is composed of white gold, palladium, and trace amounts of platinum and rhodium, a combination that provides extra brilliance and longevity.
