For keen observers of this year’s Oscars, the Everose gold Day-Date 40 with a slate ombré dial will surely look familiar. This is the exact watch that the brand hinted at during its special video at the Academy Awards back in March.

At Watches and Wonders, Rolex also presented three other variations alongside this reference: a 40mm model in White Gold with a mother-of-pearl dial, a 36mm model in 18k yellow gold with a white dial, and a 36mm 18k Everose gold and diamonds edition, featuring a captivating blue-green dial.

Material: Platinum

Case Size: 39mm

Bracelet: Leather strap

Movement: Caliber 7140, with 66 hour power reserve

In 2020, Rolex introduced the Perpetual 1908 with 18k yellow or white gold casing, which featured a choice between black or white dials. This year, the brand has reimagined the reference with a new and refreshing color palette, while still staying true to the watch’s iconic characteristics of historic codes and contemporary style. Housed in a 950 platinum case, the watch boasts a rice-grain pattern that creates a rosette-like visual effect on its stunning ice-blue dial.

The watch’s slim 39mm case houses the in-house 7140 caliber movement, which provides 66 hours of continuous running time and can be viewed through the transparent caseback. Retailing at $32,768 USD (as of April 2024), the new Perpetual 1908 comes equipped with a brown or black alligator strap, with green calfskin lining, and fitted with a platinum double folding Dualclasp.

To further enhance its diving capabilities, the watch features an RLX titanium helium escape valve on the side of the case, providing an extra layer of protection without compromising its durability. Buying New vs Pre-Owned Rolex Watches

Acquiring a newly released Rolex watch can vary depending on the model and demand. Generally, there can be a waiting list for popular models, and the wait time can range from several months to even a few years.

Looking to own a Rolex soon? Buying a pre-owned Rolex may just be the right choice. Buying from the secondary market gives access to a wider range of discontinued or vintage models, and even current models, that may no longer be available from authorized dealers. As these watches are readily available in the market, there is no need to wait for extended periods on a waiting list, giving buyers the opportunity to enjoy their desired Rolex watch without delay.

Unlike other online retailers, SwissWatchExpo carries every watch listed on our site in our Atlanta showroom, in stock and ready to ship to you.

SwissWatchExpo is also dedicated to providing watches in impeccable “like new” condition. To ensure this, every watch we offer for sale undergoes a thorough inspection by our skilled watchmakers. Rest assured, when you choose a watch from SwissWatchExpo, you can expect a timepiece that meets the highest standards of quality.
