Watches at the 2022 Met Gala

The annual Met Gala is often touted as “fashion’s biggest night out”, where celebrities and A-listers from different fields offer a variety of interpretations of the dress code. This year is no different, with the “Gilded Glamour” theme making way for tiaras, trains, and sparkle.

The night would not be complete without the guests crushing their red carpet looks with amazing watches on their wrists. From colorful pieces to all-time classics, here are some of the watches that stood out during the 2022 Met Gala:

Pete Davidson

Actor-comedian Pete Davidson showed up at the event donning a dapper double-breasted suit. It’s an understated look, but he made up for it with ace accessories.

He wore a gold onyx ring and a watch with a subtle ornate punch: a Rolex Datejust 41 with diamond hour markers. The timepiece features a 41mm case, a white gold fluted bezel, and a link bracelet. Oscar Isaac

Actor Oscar Isaac defied gender norms that night with a trompe l’oeil midi dress that resembles a tailcoat and a white tie. Even more rebellious is the fact that his wife walked the red carpet wearing the pants, in an actual version of the same ensemble.

Oscar knew he was making a statement with that alone, and accessorized with timeless gold jewelry from Cartier – a bracelet and the Tank Francaise. Jack Harlow

Rapper Jack Harlow put his own take on elegance with a Givenchy suit in satin chocolate brown – a hue that matched his signature messy curls. The budding hitmaker spiced up his formal attire with a timepiece oozing class and versatility.

Jack went for the Rolex Sky-Dweller with a blue dial. It was introduced in 2017 as part of the more accessible Rolesor models – with a steel body and gold fluted bezels. Ryan Reynolds is undoubtedly a red carpet favorite. Not only does the actor have a knack for combining classic styles with unexpected details, but he’s also not afraid to play with textures and colors.

Basketball star Dwayne Wade was a breath of fresh air with his white Versace suit and gold accessories. He purposely left out the shirt and bowtie to show off his incredible physique, but one thing he didn’t forget is a luxury timepiece.

Sarah Jessica Parker always brings it on at the Met Gala, and it was no different this year. She appeared in a black-and-white gingham ball gown and a bold towering headpiece. To balance it off, she wore a timeless piece – the Cartier Tank Must with a black leather strap.
